Student Worker Pay Increase

Student workers at èßäAV may be considered for a wage increase based on demonstrated exceptional performance, fulfillment of job responsibilities, and a minimum of six months (one semester) of service in their current position. All wage increases are contingent upon budget availability and require approval from both the immediate supervisor and the appropriate Vice President. Please note that wage increases are not guaranteed, and various factors will be evaluated before any adjustment is made or considered.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a wage increase, student workers must meet the following requirements:

  • Have completed at least six months in their current role.
  • Consistently meet or exceed job expectations, including punctuality, productivity, and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Wage adjustments are dependent on available departmental and institutional funding.

Request Process

  1. Supervisor Submission
The immediate Supervisor must submit a written request to the supervising Vice President, outlining the justification for the proposed wage increase.
  2. Vice President Review
The Vice President will evaluate the request based on budgetary considerations and institutional priorities and will either approve or deny the proposal.
  3. Notification and Processing
The Vice President will inform the supervisor of the decision. If approved, the Vice President will submit a written request to the Human Resources Director to implement the recommended wage increase. Additionally, any wage increase should be reported to the Financial Aid Director in writing.

* Note: Approved increases will take effect in the next payroll cycle and will not be applied retroactively.
