At Alderson Broaddus University (NCAA DII), he helped athletes break 11 school records and earn All-GMAC recognition.
Before moving into collegiate coaching, Scott built a strong reputation at the high school level in South Dakota, producing championship programs at Ipswich Public School, where he led the Tigers to back-to-back SDHSAA Girls' State Cross Country Championships (2014 and 2015), and Aberdeen Christian School, where he founded the cross country and track programs and captured multiple regional team titles.
A native of Watertown, S.D., Scott earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Northern State University and his Master's in Sport Science from Ohio University. He also holds USATF Level 2 Endurance and USATF Level 1 certifications, in addition to CPR/AED/First Aid credentials.
